School Transcript, Report Card, Degree & Diploma FAQ

 

There are two ways to get your school credentials Apostille. Notary & Apostille Service will cover both ways on this page and  Notary & Apostille Service is able to perform both methods of getting your school credentials Apostille.

Some problems that folks are having when it comes to getting their diploma or transcript Apostille will be covered. First, there is the Official Way of doing it and there is the Copy Certification by Document Custodian way. But let go over some issues that I have come across from clients who wanted to get their school credentials Apostille but were not sure they wanted Notary & Apostille Service to do it. This problem is not unique to Notary & Apostille Service, they will encounter the same issue on other sites depending on what method they chose to use.

Q. I want to get my diploma or degree Apostille but I don't want to send my transcript, diploma or degree to a stranger to get an Apostille.

A. Sometimes you don't have a choice. Since, it maybe the policy of the school to only issue certification to the original degree holder.  The only way to prove this is by bring the degree or diploma to the school.

So, here's what you can do. Find out if the country where you are sending the Apostille document to will accept a true copy of your school transcript, degree or diploma certified by the school.  If they will accept this method, then have the school make a copy of your original or send them a copy which ever method the school indicates for you to do.

Getting your school credentials Apostille using the Copy Certification. This method requires you to bring or send your school credentials to a notary public, then just have a notary make the a copy of your document for you, [this is very important step], then have the notary sign it. 

When the notary stamps your document make sure it is complete and the statutory requirements for a notary stamp is done Correctly. Some notaries tend to be sloppy in using their stamp incorrectly.  Their sloppiness will cost you time & money.

The Copy Certification by Document Custodian is the preferred method that works great when your school is out of state or you're out of the country.

Q. My college transcript is sealed and I was told not to open it. Can you help me get this Apostille? 

A. This may seem like a problem. However, this is how to solve it. Obtain from the registrar of the University an official true copy of the credentials bearing the seal of the university. The registrar should then execute an affidavit attesting to the validity of the document before a notary public in the registrar's office or elsewhere at the university. 

If you decide to use the official method and you wish for Notary & Apostille Service to assist you, then Please note the following: Most schools require me to have the original diploma or degree with a letter from you authorizing me to carry out the details of your letter including getting the Apostille. Each school is different, some will just require an email from you to verify your school status. They will then certify the the original, copy of your diploma, degree or transcript.

Frequently the business office of colleges and universities have notaries public. If your school does not have a notary contact Notary & Apostille Service and you can hire Notary & Apostille Service to get that task done for you. *

Primary and Secondary Schools

This is the official way of getting an Apostille on your primary & secondary school report card or diploma.

Make an appointment with the school principal, bring a notary public to the principal's office in order that the principal may execute an affidavit attesting to the validity of the document before the notary.

As noted above the Copy Certification by Document Custodian method can also be use on your primary & secondary school report card or diploma.
